About our Name |

When we were formulating the idea of a company, we arrived at a road block. We couldn't think of a name. We came up with everything from DaVinci Computers to Terra Firma Systems. . . but nothing that really fit.
Then one day, while we were perusing the idea of a name over a couple of pints of ale at a local bar and grill, we noticed an interesting looking tattoo on the neck of our amiable, yet staid, server - Erin. After further inquiry we learned that the tattoo was a "Dagaz Rune." "What's a Dagaz Rune?" we asked. "A Dagaz is a powerful Rune. Runes originated in ancient England and are believed to hold very insightful power of one's self." "Like Tarot cards?" we replied. "No, they bring about instincts that might be ignored. The way it works is to ask the runes a question, then do a rune spread. A rune spread involves picking 3-5 runes out of a sack and spreading them across the floor. Then, depending on the runes picked, your question may be answered." Upon further questioning we learned that the Dagaz rune meant "a breakthough, a new beginning." It was perfect for the venture upon which we were about to embark. After little deliberation we decided it was the perfect name for our new company, The Dagaz Group.
